June in Puerto Vallarta is Hot and Humid
Day 1: Eating Fresh Mangos with Cottage Cheese
We ate a delicious, fresh mango with a little
cottage cheese. Healthy! I love our fresh mangoes. And we're fortunate to be able
to buy cottage cheese here.
Day 2: Spending the Evening at the Roof Garden
We lounged in the Roof Garden living room, read, enjoyed the view and sunset, took a dip in the pool, and had dinner with Happy Hour drinks.
Day 3—Relaxing and throwing the ball for Sophie on the balcony in the evening.
Watching the hummingbirds at the feeder is part of the
entertainment.
Day 4--
I had a Therapeutic Massage at ZonaZ Boutique Hotel for the
first time. Ahhh❤ Frita
gave me a great massage, adjusting the pressure when I requested more or less
in areas that needed it.
We also like to have massages at Aura Spa. That's a good, healthy walk on the Malecon from home. You can see more in my article, Weekly Massages in Mexico for Our Mental and Physical Wellbeing.
Day 5—Work Out in the Gym
We work out in the air-conditioned gym when it's hot and humid outside. We
listen to audiobooks to make exercising more fun. The recumbent bike and weight
machines are perfect for Jon to strengthen his body as he battles Parkinson's
Disease and improve overall health.
Day 6—Friday Evening Walk on Malecon and Dinner at Oyster
Grill
We started our one-mile walk at about 7:00 once the heat and
humidity had dropped. Friday evenings are great for a walk on the Malecón, with
lots happening along the way, including a beautiful sunset. It was our first dinner
at the Oyster Grill—an excellent choice for Fish and Chips, plus
people-watching.
When it’s 88°F with a Real Feel of 97°F, we take our Happy Hour Cocktails and get in the pool. At 6:00 in the evening, as the sun drops, the UV index was only 3 of 10 in Puerto Vallarta, so the potential for damage to the skin and eyes was fairly low. Time to cool off!
Day 8--Celebrate Father's Day at Serrano's Grill
We celebrated Father’s Day at Jon’s favorite steakhouse,
Serrano’s Grill. That giant ficus tree was full of different kinds of birds,
perfect for bird-watching. The view is always lovely; just a little hazy yesterday
due to the humidity and some smoke from a small wildfire we could see in the
jungle across the bay.
The food was delicious, a well-deserved treat for this special
man, dad to our three children.

Day 9—Zumba Gold
Practice with My Sayulita Home Videos
Zumba Gold Practice with My Home Videos from When I Taught in
Sayulita, Pre-Covid
I practiced indoors this time, with air conditioning. If you listen closely, you can hear the neighbor’s rooster crowing. (Jon went to the gym)
Day 10--A Doctor Consultation at SanMare Clinic After Our Annual Check-Ups
The doctors and staff at
SanMare are great! The pharmacy is convenient for purchasing medication, so
we don’t have to make another stop on the way home. One minor treatment and lab
test to go, and our health will be all clear.
