Our Latest Adventure—A Virgin Caribbean Cruise

Celebrating Our 30th Anniversary
We went on a cruise! This was our first cruise in 25 years—our big celebration of our 30th anniversary. What a great experience!

Jon isn’t a fan of cruises, but he’s been following Richard Branson since he founded Virgin Records in the 1970s. When Richard started Virgin Voyages with adult-only cruises, Jon said if he was going to go on any cruise, it would be with Virgin. That was my go-ahead to find one we both liked!

After our 8-day fun-filled Eastern Caribbean Antilles cruise, we recommend Virgin all-inclusive cruises. We were on the Valiant Lady ship, the newest in the fleet. It has elegant yet casual decor. Our cabin with a terrace was roomy and quiet. The many restaurants offered a large variety of delicious food.

The ports were all new and interesting destinations for us.

Just Another Manic Moment: A Novel

When Lindsay and Jake fell in love, it was magnetic and powerful. Jake declared that the “chemistry of love” pulled them together, that they were split-aparts, two halves of one, lucky to have found each other. Lindsay agreed, ecstatic that she had found her soulmate. When they exchanged wedding vows, they meant every word. … “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death…”

Then Jake was diagnosed with clinical depression, a major depressive disorder that stole the joy from his life. Later, periods of rage and mania changed his personality, testing his relationship with Lindsay. A phase of manic euphoria and frenzied spending forced Lindsay to take drastic measures.

Will Jake and Lindsay find peace and healing by moving to a small beach town, Sayulita, Mรฉxico?

Food is what most often draws us out for walks and tours, as you can see. But the views and colors are what keep us going back. We're so grateful that we moved here, a place where we can walk, bus, or boat to so many wonderful, outdoor places. And we can enjoy them even in the winter. But especially that we walk so much here, taking in the views year around. That's healthy living!

I hope you'll read more about Healthy Living in Mexico in my books. I also invite you to follow me on my Healthy Living and Traveling in Mexico Facebook page.

Thank you for reading my blog and books. If you enjoy my books, please leave a brief review on Amazon so others will find them, also.
