I was so relieved when I was notified
in April to go to the Mexican immigration (INM) office in Nuevo Vallarta for
fingerprinting to complete my Permanent Resident Visa application! The office
was open, but only one woman was working at the desk, so the wait was about two
hours—but they were open and processing applications. She fingerprinted all ten
fingers and then told me to come back for my card in two weeks.
With so many government offices closed during the COVID-19
lockdown period, I was skeptical about whether my card would actually be ready

Those residency card photos are the WORST! Mine looks absolutely like a mug shot. They won't let you smile, which makes them so wretched. Yours is actually not bad. Congratulations on the book. I have a few library ebooks I have to get to first as they have due dates, but I definitely look forward to reading Pickle Jar Test soon. :-)
